'THIS IS AMERICA - VOL. 3' marks the third edition of our annual print magazine. Inside the magazine are six monographic journalistic essays, the result of a year-long process and the contribution of seventeen authors from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds. The issue also presents the works of four visual artists from around the world, selected through our international open call.

In this volume, we explore the evolution of ballroom culture around the world, how techno has been reimagined in Europe—sometimes at the expense of its Black roots—and the history of Islam within the African American community, among many other topics.
