This Is America - Vol. 1

This is the first issue published by oltreoceano. Entirely in Italian, This Is America Vol. 1 was published in 2023 and emerged from the need—later developed in Vol. 2 and 3—to create a magazine that brings together all the work produced by our editorial team over the course of a year.

Inside, you will find a research piece on the 50th anniversary of hip hop, a study on the history of African American crime and its iconography, an exploration of the culinary translation of soul food, and an analysis of the murder of George Floyd and the protests that followed.

A reprint is planned for 2027.
